Touchkey
An oldie but a goodie, this entry level immobiliser has stood the test of time. The touchkeys require no batteries to function. Just a simple light press against the dash (or steering column) mounted receptacle will deactivate the system. Once you're done driving, simply switch the engine off - the self arming feature will do the rest. The receptacle also contains a built in warning/status LED.
Autowatch Ghost II
Ultimate protection against key theft is right here with the Ghost II Immobiliser. This state of the art immobiliser has no visible PIN pads or remotes. The Ghost uses the buttons in your vehicle such as those on the steering wheel, door panels and/or centre console to allow you to make a unique PIN code sequence that must first be entered before you can drive your car. The Ghost boasts protection from key-cloning, hacking, and even key theft. The only way a thief could take a Ghost protected car is by physically towing it away. You can make your PIN even safer by making it up to 20 presses long!
Remote
Coming in both basic or standard forms, remote immobilisers offer convenience through versatility. The basic system allows for central locking integration and external illumination through low current outputs. The standard systems have the same features as the basic, with full alarm capabilities added (eg: siren output, sensor inputs etc).
Proximity Remote
The best of both worlds, this immobiliser has the same features as the standard remote system with the added convenience of proximity function.
Proximity
Also known as Transponder, this immobiliser works fully "hands free." An aerial coil is place within proximity of the car's ignition barrel. Once the aerial detects the fob on your keyring, the immobiliser will deactivate automatically, allowing you to start the car. Once you're done driving, simply switch the engine off - the self arming feature will do the rest.
Keypad
Keypad immobilisers add peace of mind from a different angle. Even if your car keys are missing, whoever has them won't be able to start the car without first entering the correct PIN. It's as simple as that.
